Volunteering

If you love a good bargain as well as fine furniture, enjoy fixing things, or just want to help support adequate housing, the HomeStore needs you. Sales, display, cleanup of donations, merchandising and all other "jobs" are completely volunteer efforts. With no paid staff, the HomeStore can use your help. Be part of HFHUK's premier recycler of new and used furniture, tools and small appliances. Call (305) 453-7855, or just dress down and drop by the store, to get involved. Volunteers clean donations, set up displays, help customers . . . and anything else that needs doing!

While the Habitat HomeStore sells many of the products other furniture stores and home improvement stores sell, it varies in other aspects like its product selection, variability, etc.  Some of the activities we would like our volunteers to assist in may include, but are not limited to:

• pricing
  
• maintenance of the store
  
• organization of merchandise
  
• inventory
  
• receiving (unloading and loading donated materials and merchandise)
  
• data entry
  
• promotions (distribution, mailings, etc.)
