Liars & Cheaters raise over $9,000.00 for Habitat

Habitat for Humanity of the Upper Keys
Receives $9,900.00 from Snapper’s Golf Event

Habitat for Humanity of the Upper Keys (HfHUK) recently received $9,900.00 from Snapper’s Waterfront Saloon & Raw Bar (Snapper’s), representing the proceeds from the 9th Annual Snapper’s Liar’s & Cheaters Golf Tournament held on April 17th.

Over 72 golfers making up 18 foursomes came out to play golf and support Habitat’s mission to build affordable housing in partnership with local families in need. More than 50 local businesses sponsored holes this year with Green Rhino Construction signing on as an event sponsor and Budweiser, Captain Morgan and Phil Smith Acura signing on as corporate sponsors.

“This event would not be possible without the tremendous support of Snapper’s, the local business community, and many volunteers,” said Executive Director Chadwick Duncan. “Our agency couldn’t do what we do without people like Snapper’s owner Howard Kolbenheyer and volunteer event chairperson, and TIB VP, Mimi Young, who put in hundreds of hours of work on this event.”

Habitat for Humanity of the Upper Keys is a 501 C 3 non-profit organization serving the community from North Key Largo to the South end of Islamorada.
